Michael Ringel

Michael Ringel is Boston Consulting Group's global leader for innovation analytics and research and product development. He is a core member of BCG’s Corporate Finance & Strategy practice and has been with the firm since 1999. Over his career, Michael has advised biotech and pharmaceutical clients on critical areas such as disease area strategy, process optimization, sourcing, partnerships, and organization design. He also has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and post-merger integration.
Michael is a frequent contributor to industry publications like Nature Reviews Drug Discovery and has coauthored numerous BCG reports on innovation, R&D, and corporate strategy. Additionally, he serves on the board of The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts. Before joining BCG, Michael conducted academic research on population dynamics and performed fieldwork in the Amazon basin near Manaus, Brazil.
