Meet in the large seating area on the first floor – so grab a coffee from the entrance booth or buy a drink from the bar upstairs. There is a lift, though other Meetup groups have reported occasional problems with it, so if you need it then we suggest phoning ahead just to make sure it is working.

Adrian is attending the Longevity Med Summit in Portugal to hear world-leading scientists talk about their research in a variety of areas, including:

• I’ll be particularly interested to hear the latest from Aubrey de Grey.

No scientific knowledge of ageing mechanisms required to attend. I will try to summarise what I hear into some key points (in plain English) – whether that is interesting discoveries that may take years to translate into clinical treatments or tips that we may be able to take advantage of today.
