KEY POINTS FROM ARTICLE:

Study was conducted on 31 patients who underwent a 60-session treatment course.
Patients were evaluated before HBOT was administered and 3 weeks after treatment.
Repetitive HBOT protocols have a sustained effect on heart function.
Heart muscle contracted more efficiency throughout the 60-session protocol.
Effect was particularly evident in the left ventricle.
Study will be expanded to the scope a larger group, with symptomatic and asymptomatic patients.
