Dr. Yu-Xuan Lu is an ageing scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing. His work centres on uncovering the biological mechanisms of ageing and developing pharmacological interventions to improve late-life health. He is particularly known for his research on the drug rapamycin as an anti-ageing reagent. Additionally, he has proposed next-generation precision longevity interventions based on biological sex differences. His contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards, including EMBO fellowshipand European Crucible for future research leaders. He has also been honoured as one of the "Talents for Germany".
