Ph.d.-student at the research unit ImmunoConcEpT, where he studies cancer research
I am a PhD-student in philosophy.
My project contributes to what can be called «philosophy of aging» as ‘new’ field that both is somewhat different from, but also shares affinity to more traditional fields of philosophy of biology and philosophy of medicine. The (tentative) title of my dissertation is: “A philosophy of geroscience: Conceptual and theoretical issues related to the geroscience hypothesis and its relationship to the science and therapy of cancer.” Specifically, I work on the history of mechanisms of aging (cellular senescence), the definition of geroprotectors, and the disconnect between philosophers and biogerontologists on the disease-status of aging.
