Nicolas Danchin is Professor of Medicine, Consultant Cardiologist and works at the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit of Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou in Paris, France. He has a special interest in coronary artery disease, its treatment modalities including interventional cardiology and its prevention. Professor Danchin is an Honorary President of the French Society of Cardiology. He is a past-chairman of the Scientific Committee of the French National Health Insurance body. He is also a past Chairman of the Working Group on Acute Cardiac Care of the ESC, and has chaired the Experts’ Committee of the Acute Coronary Syndromes Euro Heart Survey, and the Committee on regulatory affairs of the ESC. He was a member of the Nominating Committee of the ESC from 2008 to 2010. Professor Danchin is the principal investigator of all French nationwide AMI registries 1995-2015 (FAST-MI), and has published >600 papers in PubMed-indexed journals.
