Mehmet Sarikaya is the Director of Genetically Engineered Materials Sciences & Engineering Center and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Oral Health Sciences at University of Washington. Professor Sarikaya received a PhD and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering, both from University of California and B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
His research interests include molecular biomimetics, self-assembly, peptide-molecular recognition, and synthetic nanoscale constructs.
