Matthew Lees

Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto

Matthew Lees is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto. Lees is passionate about the application of molecular biology techniques to examine skeletal muscle protein expression, post-translational modification, subcellular localisation and trafficking in response to exercise and nutritional manipulation. His research interests include healthy ageing, exercise biochemistry, frailty, immune function, appetite, and body composition in sport and health.

Lees received PhD in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University. He completed B.A. in Sport and Exercise Studies from University of Derby.
