Professor in Department of Molecular Diagnostics & Experimental Therapeutics at City of Hope
Linda Malkas is currently a professor in the Department of Molecular Diagnostics & Experimental Therapeutics at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope and dean, Translational Science, External Affairs. She co-founded and currently co-lead the Molecular Oncology Program at the cancer center. Her research interests include human cell DNA replication/repair, and cancer cell biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
Her laboratory work focuses on elucidating the mechanisms underlying cancer cell DNA damage accumulation, which has also been correlated with disease progression.
Malkas holds a PhD in Biochemistry from City University of New York and completed her fellowship at Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology, Shrewsbury.
