Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition and Director of the Program in Cardiovascular Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School

Eric Rimm, ScD, is Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition and Director of the Program in Cardiovascular Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School.  He also serves as the Director of the Ph.D. program in Population Health Sciences which is the umbrella program for 190 Ph.D. students with fields of study within Epidemiology, Nutrition, Environmental Health Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Global Health and Populations. For over three decades, he has conducted extensive research on the health effects of diet and lifestyle in relation to obesity and chronic disease. He is internationally recognized for his extensive work in the study of the health effects of whole grains, micronutrients moderate alcohol consumption and polyphenols.
