Daniel (Dan) Hayes is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on advanced biomaterials engineering for applications ranging from regenerative medicine to lab-on-a-chip technologies. The research efforts in these areas are materials centered with an emphasis on nanomaterials, macromolecules, and composite structures. He is a cofounder of NanoHorizons Inc. and Osteosynth LLC. Current focal areas include tissue engineering, orthopedic materials, drug delivery, and in vivo diagnostics.
