Craig Wing
Author, Futurist, Innovation and Strategy Professional
After starting his first company at 22, he realized the need for innovative thinkers to bridge the divide between engineering and business. His experience includes advising the Department of Science and Technology, Allan Grey and Deloitte. The cumulation of his “corporate” career was as Head of Small Business Marketing for Google South Africa, where he was selected as the "Googliest Googler" by his peers across Africa.
During his MBA at Babson, the global leader in Entrepreneurial education, he was elected the first Non American class president, a testament to his leadership abilities. He was also selected as an AshokaU changemaker driving the importance of global social entrepreneurship, and instrumental in the formation of a business incubator.
Started 3 companies: a software venture to help partially sighted children, commercialization consulting company and a cleantech startup in San Francisco . For the latter raised over $200k, hired 4 people, launched at 6 U.S Universities and Tshinghua and Beijing Universities, profiled at the Clinton Global Initiative and a TEDx speaker - in 6 months.
Currently, Craig is a partner of the 29 year old FutureWorld - an organization helping corporates understand the emergent future and how technology will affect their businesses. He focusses on leveraging corporate culture as a means to accelerate change and optimize results while creating a more efficient, happy and innovative workplace by changing the corporate DNA to align with business strategy.
