Chris Patil
Biologist of aging, VP-Media at BioAge Labs
Chris leads BioAge’s media relations, using multiple channels to build and amplify the company’s narrative. In addition to directing press outreach and serving as public information officer (PIO), he produces the “Translating Aging” podcast; directs our social media; writes essays for the BioAge blog; and provides editorial support on key internal and external communications. Before joining BioAge, Chris trained and worked as a biologist, with a 20-year research career focused on stress responses, cellular senescence, and aging. After leaving academia, he worked for 10 years as a scientific editor. He earned a BS in Biological Sciences at Stanford University and a PhD in Biochemistry from UCSF, and held research positions at LBNL, the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, and the Broad Institute.
