China Kadoorie Biobank
Resource for investigating the main causes of many common chronic diseases
The China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) is one of the world’s largest prospective studies and is a long-term collaboration between the University of Oxford, Peking University and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
More than 512,000 adults were recruited from ten geographically defined and diverse areas of China between 2004 and 2008 and extensive data was collected at baseline and subsequent periodic resurveys. The health of participants has been monitored over about two decades.
