The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), was established in 2019 and is located at Science Park, Hong Kong. It is positioned to become a world-class research institute for AI and robotics, emphasizing applications in the range of healthcare, fintech and arts. CAIR aims to become an international hub for scientific research and technological innovation center with global influence in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The CAIR will focus on research on topics concerning Robotics, AI, and Drone technology.

- developing systems that complement and augment human capabilities,

- understanding and addressing the ethical, legal, and societal implications of this research,

- creating robust and trustworthy robotics and AI systems,

- supporting the development of related technical standards and tools,

- better understand the national R&D workforce needs, and

- enable long-term investments in these research areas.
