Cecile Boot

Cecile Boot is a professor in Societal participation and Health at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) University Medical Center. Boot's research resides within the Societal Participation and Health Program at the Amsterdam Public Health Research Institute. Her research interests include sustained employability and older workers, working with chronic conditions, prolonged work participation, informal care-giving and worksite health promotion, with a preference for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Boot is an associate editor of the Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation and a reviewer for several journals in the field of occupational health. She was trained as a health scientist, obtaining her PhD at the Radboud University Nijmegen.
