Professor of Clinical Molecular Medicine at Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki
Anu Suomalainen Wartiovaara gained an MD and PhD at the University of Helsinki and did postdoctoral research at the National Public Health Institute, Helsinki, and McGill University, Montreal. In 2001, she became a group leader at Biomedicum-Helsinki. She is currently Sigrid Jusélius professor of clinical molecular medicine at the University of Helsinki, and her group focuses on the molecular basis and treatment of mitochondrial disorders.
