Antonio Cano

Senior Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Valencia

Dr. Cano is a permanent Senior Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Valencia and is the Head of Service in this specialty at the Hospital Clínico Universitario in Valencia. His main interest is Gynecological Endocrinology.

He graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia where he was a fellow of the Colegio Mayor de San Juan de Ribera de Burjasot. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Bologna in Italy as a scholar of the Spanish Royal College. He then went on to take a postdoctoral position as a scholar of the British Council-Spanish Education Ministry at the Imperial Cancer Research Foundation (Cancer Research UK) in London. He now leads a research group working on the involvement of hormones in various clinical fields such as osteoporosis, breast pathophysiology, and the cardiovascular system. 

He directs the Master’s degree in Human Reproduction, is author of several books and national and international articles, and is an associate editor of the journals Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation and Maturitas. He is also a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
