Russian scientist and biologist, professor and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Alexey is head of the laboratory of molecular radiobiology and gerontology at the Institute of Biology of Komi SC UB RAS, as well as head of the ecology department of Syktyvkar State University and the laboratory of lifetime and ageing genetics at Moscow Physics and Technology Institute. He is a member of the editorial boards of the following scientific journals: Biogerontology, Frontiers in Genetics, Aging, Aging and Disease and Oncotarget. He is also the author of more than 100 publications on the subject of ageing genetics, lifetime genetics and radiation genetics, and of the books "120 Years of Life Is Just the Beginning," "How to Overcome Your Age?" and "A Long-Liver's Intestines."
