This article on the BBC reporting on an Indian company unveiling a cheap Rotavac diarrhoea vaccine is a reminder that the rate of exponential growth in technology could quite possibly grow over the next few decades as the size of the scientific community increases. Not only does technology assist its own improvement (resulting in the long proven exponential growth) but in doing so it is raising more people out of poverty into the knowledge community and thereby producing an even larger base of researchers, designers and inventors and push the growth on and on and on.
