Science-Backed Therapy Targeting Senescent Cells May Be Future Anti-Aging Serum

11-Jan-2017

Key points from article :

Growing older results in a build-up of the body’s senescent cells and naturally accumulate with age.

Senior rodents given therapy that removed these cells lived 25 percent longer and were able to regrow hair, run faster, and had improved organ function.

A perfect anti-senescence therapy would also kick-start tissue rejuvenation by stimulating differentiation of nearby stem cells.

The study was published in the Cell Press journal.
