Honda Chair Professor at The Ohio State University & Director of the Spine Research Institute
William S. Marras holds the Honda Chair in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering at the Ohio State University and serves as the Director of the Spine Research Institute at the Ohio State University.
Dr. Marras holds joint academic appointments in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Department of Neurosurgery, and the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. He is also a board certified ergonomist.
His research is focused on understanding the ergonomics, role of biomechanics in spine disorder causation and in the prevention, evaluation and treatment of back pain, lower back pain, back injuries and spine disorders
