Dr Vanessa Er is a public health researcher with expertise in nutrition and experience in mixed method research. She has an interest in minority ethnic health, health inequalities, obesity, cancer prevention and complex systems.
Her current work includes process evaluation of ASSIST + Frank trial, dietary analysis of the NAPSACC UK trial, and Cochrane reviews on interventions for preventing mutiple risk behaviours in children and young adults.
She is a co-PI of a CRUK Innovation Grant on developing personalised weight management primes. She leads a study exploring the use of wearable cameras and smartphone apps to capture and identify moments of food temptation.
