University of Palermo (Italian: Università degli Studi di Palermo) is a university located in Palermo, Italy. It was founded in 1806 by Ferdinand III of Bourbon, king of Naples and the Two Sicilies who transforms the Panormitan Academy of Studies into a University, today. UniPa is a mega university, equally oriented towards teaching, research and the third mission, including 12 faculties for Agriculture, Architecture, Arts and Humanities, Economics, Education, Engineering, Law, Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Physics, Pharmacy, and Political Sciences.

The university current offer 134 courses of study including first cycle degrees, single-cycle master's degrees and master's degrees, 31 specialization schools, 21 research doctorates.
