Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (SIU Medicine) is a publicly assisted medical school and a clinical practice focused on the health care needs of downstate Illinois. The School of Medicine is part of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. The medical school was founded in 1970, and offers degree programs on medical, MD/MPH, MD/JD, doctoral, master's, and physician assistant studies.
