Shuhei Miyashita

Lecturer in Intelligent Robotics at the University of York.

Prior to be appointed as a Lecturer at the University of York, Shuhei Miyashita was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at MIT and in the NanoRobotics Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. He received his PhD at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in the University of Zurich, and Master’s degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Research interests: Robotics (Micro, Distributed, and Self-reconfigurable), Self-assembly, Bio-inspired Manufacturing, Robotics for Medicine.
My research pursuit has been dedicated to a formal understanding of synthesizing artificial compounds in non-molecular domains, seeking a novel manufacturing method of elecromechanical devices.
