Rute Almeida

Researcher at CINTESIS and PostDoc candidate at University of Porto

Rute Almeida was born in Porto, Portugal in 1979. She received a 4 years degree in mathematics applied to technology in 2000 and the European Doctor Degree (Ph.D. in applied mathematics) in 2007 from Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto (FCUP). She collaborated with the Applied Mathematics department (FCUP) in 1999-2004 and with the Autonomic Function Study Center from Hospital S. João during 2001. She was with the Mathematics Department of Science School, University of Minho, 2005-2006, with the Spanish center for Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterial and Nano-medicine Research CIBER-BBN, under protocol with the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR), 2007-2012, member of the Aragón Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) at UNIZAR, with whom she still collaborates by the Biomedical Signal Interpretation & Computational Simulation (BSICoS) group. She was postdoctoral researcher at Centro de Matemática da Universidade do Porto (CMUP), 2012-2016, member, since 2005. Since 2016 she isintegrated member of the Evidence-Based Medicine & Research Synthesis (EvidenS) group from the CINTESIS - Center for Health Technology and Services Research, Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto.
