Ouajdi Felfoul

Lead System Designer at GE Healthcare.

Initiated and took leadership of a novel project in which bacteria are used as a vehicle for drug delivery to tumors. Designed and fabricated an automatic platform for MTB guidance; part of this work is in the process of being patented. Coordinated a multidisciplinary team comprising engineers, biologists, and oncologists for in-vivo assays in mice. Contributed to successful NIH (National Institute of Health) grant application. Gained experience in cancer therapies (advantages and limitations), MRI physics, MR compatibility, research protocols involving animal subjects, drug targeting and delivery, and minimally invasive interventions and devices.

Sharing information and ideas clearly and concisely, strong communication skills: 15+ scientific publications, reports, and technical communications; 5+ international conference presentations, 2 of which received awards; nominated best teacher for three consecutive years (2009-2011), and won the award in 2009.
Teaching undergraduate engineering students, five courses, two different institutions (UQAM and EPM), three different fields (electrical engineering, computer science, and physics).
