Milos Filipovic
Group Lead at Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences - ISAS
Dr Filipovic received his PhD from the University of Belgrade and performed his post-doctoral training at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg where he also obtained habilitation in chemical biology. From 2016-2020 he worked as a director of research at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), leading an ATIP-Avenir and FRM Equipe group at the Institute for Biochemistry and Cellular Genetics in Bordeaux. Since 2020 he is leading a group at the Lebiniz Insitute for Analytical Sciences in Dortmund. Aside from developing new tools for chemoproteomic detection of different cysteine posttranslational modifications, his ERC CoG group “SULFAGING", is particularly interested in the role of cysteine PTMs in aging and aging-associated diseases, as well as in the effect of redox changes on global proteostasis and cell signalling.
