Melissa Hogenboom is a multi-award-winning author, science journalist, and filmmaker. As a leader at the BBC, she launched and currently heads the documentary platform BBC Reel. Her debut book, The Motherhood Complex, was published by Piatkus, Little, Brown (Hachette) in May 2021. She has an extensive portfolio, having written hundreds of articles and produced both short and long-form films for broadcast and digital media, in addition to reporting for radio and television.
