Lamiat Sabin is a freelance news reporter at The Independent. She also worked at the Morning Star, Independent, Evening Standard, Daily Express, Daily Star and London local papers.

Earlier, Sabin was a Parliamentary reporter based in the House of Commons, as well as a deputy news editor.

Sabin holds a diploma in Multimedia Journalism accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists. She received BA in English and American Literature from Goldsmiths, University of London.
