Kristen Knutson
Associate professor of neurology, working at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
My research focuses on the association between sleep,
circadian rhythms and cardiometabolic diseases, including diabetes,
obesity and cardiovascular disease. I focus on “real world assessments
of habitual sleep patterns and perform detailed clinical measures of
biomarkers of disease risk. In addition, my research examines whether
sleep and circadian rhythms partially mediate socioeconomic and/or
racial/ethnic health disparities.
