Kat Lay, a Global Health Correspondent at The Guardian, has a rich journalism background. She joined The Guardian in 2024, following a notable 11-year tenure at The Times, where she served as Health Editor and Health Correspondent. Kat’s career began with roles at News of the World and The People, where she showcased her skills in data journalism and investigations. She has also lectured in Media Law and Journalism at News Associates. Kat holds an NCTJ Pre-entry Certificate in Journalism from News Associates Journalism Training and studied at SOAS University of London.
