Dr Chisholm joined the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2010 after 10 years as a consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She is an international expert in paediatric and adolescent soft tissue sarcomas and an active member of the children and young people’s drug development team at the Royal Marsden. She lead the Children and Young People’s Service as Head of Unit at the Royal Marsden from Jan 2012-March 2018 and remains the lead clinician for Teenage and Young Adult services.
Her main research interest in is introducing new treatments in paediatric and adolescent sarcomas through clinical trials. She is a Board member of the European paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcoma Group and is one of the key leaders of the next European trial in rhabdomyosarcoma (FaR-RMS). She is the incoming Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Clinical Studies Group (from April 2019).
