Associate Professor at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Dr. Driscoll joined UWM in 2011 and is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology. She holds an affiliate appointment with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Dr. Driscoll’s primary research focus revolves around brain changes as early predictors of cognitive deficits and dementia, and the role for hormones and genetic background as modulators of age-related cognitive decline. The function of the hippocampus and the nature of amnesia in aging and Alzheimer’s disease are of particular interest. Dr. Driscoll employs a multi-level investigative approach by combining neurogenetics, neuroimaging, and cognitive tasks that allow for cross-species comparisons.
