Emmanuel Coron is a physician in Gastroenterology and Hepatology working at the Digestive Diseases Institute of Nantes. Through international stays and collaborations, he developed an expertise in novel diagnostic and interventional endoscopic techniques, which are applied to the fields of both translational research using animal models and clinical studies performed in humans.
Emmanuel Coron became qualified specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and obtained his MD degree in 2002. He obtained his PhD degree in 2009, and the ability to lead team research projects (HDR) in 2012. He is also involved in training fellow or more advanced endoscopists to interventional endoscopic techniques (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatograscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, submucosal dissections, stenting…) as well as novel imaging techniques.
