Emily Lilli Fishman

Dr. Emily Lillian Fishman is the Director of Research and Education at the SENS Research Foundation, where she is dedicated to advancing the field of anti-ageing science. With a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Toledo, Lilli's groundbreaking work includes leading an international team that discovered an atypical centriole in human and cattle sperm, a finding pivotal for understanding fertilization and development. As a USDA NIFA Fellow at UC Davis, she researched embryonic genome activation to improve in vitro fertilization and clinical embryology outcomes. A passionate advocate for equity in science, she founded the UT Careers in Science Committee, held leadership roles in the UT Graduate Student Association, and participated in the Frontiers in Stem Cell and Cancer training program. At SRF, Lilli channels her expertise and enthusiasm into driving innovative research and fostering the next generation of scientists committed to combating ageing.
