Daniel Rader

Professor and Chair person of Department of Genetics at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania

Danier Rader is the Seymour Gray Professor of Molecular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as the Chair of the Department of Genetics as well as the Chief of the Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine. He is also Associate Director of Penn’s Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics, and is co-director of the Penn Medicine Biobank.

Dr. Rader’s research focuses on the human genetics and functional genomics of lipoprotein metabolism and atherosclerosis, as well as the translational implications for novel therapeutic approaches.
