Daniel F. Hayes
Clinical Director of Breast Oncology Program at University of Michigan.
Dr. Hayes is the Stuart B. Padnos Professor of Breast Cancer Research, Professor of Internal Medicine, UM Rogel Cancer Center. He is an authority in the field of breast cancer translational and clinical research and clinical care. His research focus is on the identification and validation of tumor biomarker tests. He received undergraduate, graduate (MS) and medical (MD) degrees from Indiana University, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a fellowship in medical oncology at Harvard’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where he served on the faculty as Medical Director of the Breast Evaluation Center through 1996. He then moved to Georgetown University as Director of the Breast Cancer Program of the Lombardi Cancer Center. In 2001 he relocated to the University of Michigan. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed publications, 24 clinical guidelines, and over 175 chapters, reviews, editorials and other educationally-related materials.
