Beatrice Bretherton

Postdoctoral Researcher at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

She is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Leeds investigating the effects of non-invasive electrical stimulation of the vagus nerve on autonomic function, mood and quality of life in volunteers aged 55 years and older. She is also doing postdoctoral work with the pain and research teams at Seacroft Hospital (Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust). Prior to these appointments, she obtained her PhD from the University of Leeds in 2018 which investigated the effects of music and non-invasive stimulation of the vagus nerve on autonomic function and emotion.
