Asan Medical Center is Korea’s largest and most preferred hospital by patients, with a gross floor area of 524,700m² (2,700 beds) serving 11,000 outpatients and 2,500 inpatients on average per day. Established with the vision of becoming a patient-centered hospital, Asan Medical Center has constantly strived to achieve this vision. It has substantially altered medical treatment systems and environment by prioritizing the convenience of patients. For instance, all medical examinations and treatments have been designed to reduce the patients’ movements to a minimum, simplifying the administrative work-handling system, and reducing patient waiting times.
