Researcher and Professor at Cardiff University’s School of Medicine
Andrew Sewell is a leading expert in T cell biology, and is currently working as a Professor at Cardiff University’s School of Medicine. His research is focused on T-cell antigens and the receptors that recognise them. His laboratory incorporates projects on infection, transplant tolerance, vaccination, cancer immunotherapy and autoimmune disease.
Sewell has built a large research group focused on understanding how T cells recognise their targets and applying this to create novel immunotherapies. With an impressive track record of publications and clinical trials, he is recognised internationally as being at the forefront of a field with the potential to revolutionise cancer treatment.
