Alejandro (Alex) Jadad is a physician, healer, educator, researcher, innovator and public advocate whose mission is to enable people - either as individuals or groups - to imagine and to create better ways of living as part of a flourishing planet.
Dr. Jadad has been called a 'human Internet', as he identifies and connects the best minds, the best knowledge and the best tools across traditional boundaries to enhance the capacity of humans to imagine, create and promote new and better approaches to living, healing, working, loving and learning across the world. His work focuses on the creation of a pandemic of health and well-being through an approach known as radical 'glocal' innovation, which harnesses the creativity motivated by high levels of uncertainty, especially in the presence of life-threatening conditions, to enable people and organizations to thrive through the judicious use of state-of-the-art methods for unlearning, scenario design and crisis management. Such efforts led to the emergence of the best integrated network of health services in the world, with results that exceeded those of all 36 OECD member countries, with only 25% of average expenditure. He is also the creator of the Jadad Scale, the first validated instrument to assess the quality of controlled clinical trials, and of tools to enable team members to improve and protect their own mental health and well-being, and achieve the highest level of performance in their organizations.
