Action Against Age-related Macular Degeneration (Action Against AMD) is a charity driving a fundamental change in the way we tackle Age-related Macular Degeneration - the leading cause of sight loss in the UK and the developed world. We were founded as a collaboration of four leading sight loss charities o find and enable safe, convenient, equitable, affordable, and accessible solutions to stop AMD in its early stages, before it causes sight loss.

We are governed by a Board of Trustees who meet frequently, at least four times a year, overseeing our strategy, risk management, policies, operations and performance. It is composed of CEOs of leading sight loss charities and independent Trustees covering a wide range of expertise and experience.
