World's first anti-ageing trial received FDA approval

TAME (Targeting Aging with Metformin) had been stalled for 4 years for the negotiations with NHS.

Metformin has been shown to extend the lives of nematodes (or roundworms) by 57% and mice by 6%.

Metformin-takers live longer, have fewer cardiovascular episodes, have reduced odds of getting cancer.

TAME goal is to delay the onset of any endpoint, extending the years to remain in good health.
