It publishes the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and several specialty journals, maintains standards in medical ethics, oversees the CPT coding system, manages the Physician Professional Data Masterfile, and provides resources such as continuing medical education, residency match tools, and advocacy on health policy matters.
