The University of Udine, established in 1978, is a public institution located in Udine, Italy. It was founded as part of the reconstruction efforts following the 1976 Friuli earthquake, aiming to provide the local community with an independent center for advanced cultural and scientific studies.

The university offers a diverse range of academic programs across various disciplines, including agriculture, economics, engineering, law, modern languages, communication, education, humanities, medicine, and sciences. As of the 2020/2021 academic year, it enrolled approximately 14,986 students.
