Helen Immerso began as a grant writer in the Spring of 2023 for the Research Strategy and Development at USC. Her responsibilities include participating in the preparation and writing of highly competitive research grant proposals and applications by assembling information used in background sections, preliminary studies, scientific deliverables, Gantt charts, timetables, and evaluation plans.

Helen received a B.A. in English, a B.A. in History from UCLA (2018), and an M.A. in English from CSULB (2021). Her scholarship focuses on the intersections of U.S. imperialist violence against BIPOC women and children, environmental pollution, and creative writing.
