Food Standards Agency is worrying about the safety of CBD products

There's still no clinically proven benefit from CBD use - but definitely risks

UK Food Standards Agency fears that cannabidiol (CBD) products can be harmful to consumers.

It's a non-psychoactive chemical compound found in the marijuana plant.

Many products such as toothpaste, shampoo, hummus, gummy sweats contain CBD.

Industry must disclose about safety and contents of these products to FSA before 31 March 2021.

Products that fail to do so will be taken off the shelves.

Does not affect people who take medically prescribed CBD or cannabis.
