Beth Stevens

Associate Professor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School

Beth Stevens is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and the F.M. Kirby Neurobiology Center at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her research focuses on how glial cells and the immune system contribute to synapse elimination during brain development and neurodegenerative diseases. Her lab studies neuron-glia interactions, with a special interest in microglia’s role in synapse pruning, which has implications for diseases like Alzheimer’s. Dr. Stevens is known for her groundbreaking work on how immune molecules affect neural circuit refinement.
